Sokrates daily
It’s great to be back together and work in groups! Maths is ok!
On June 7th at Sokrates International School, two shows were presented as a part of the Socrates Art Project. Primary school students took part in the event. The youngest students attending drama classes took viewers on a journey around the world. Poem-puzzles about the most interesting cities and monuments were presented not only by pupils themselves, but also by puppets made by them. Children have tried to animate puppets that were previously designed and then made earlier in the classroom. During the theater performance, the crowds of parents sitting in the audience had the opportunity to have fun together with their children and to participate in discussions about the plans and dreams summer holidays.
On the same day, 19 puppeteers of the “Sokratesik” Cabaret at school also presented their skills. The authors told stories of passengers who were stuck in the waiting room at the airport because of the storm. Each of the girls proposed another character with its characteristic features. The realization of this amusing story was a great opportunity to get acquainted with concepts such as – rhythm, character building, or dialogue. Young actresses have been preparing for their roles for the last 4 months, for many of them it was the first opportunity to learn by heart such a large batch of text. Every half year, as a part of the “Sokratesik” Cabaret, students prepare and present a new performance not only to their peers, but also in the presence of parents and teachers.
