From 03.04 – 07.04.2017 Our school was exceptionally colourful.
Yellow Monday began with a music-recitation competition for grades 1-3. The condition for the performance before the pre-assembled audience was the preparation of such a song or poem, which contains in its content the name of the coluor. The jury’s top scores were: Paulina Appelt from class 2b (1st place), Inga Wojtycka from class 1a (2nd place), Magdalena Sławecka from class 1b (3rd place), and Adrianna Radzicka from class kl. 2a was awarded for composing a poem herself. Congratulations!
At the same time, grades 4 – 6 entered the literary competition about spring. The award for the best story went to Aleksandra Peżyńska and Karolina Sobański from class 5a (1st place) and Patrycja
Rospenda from class 5b (2nd place). On this day, volunteers from each class were also able to face the lemon eating (with a “stone face”).
Tuesday in orange was dominated by the freshly squeezed carrot and carrot-apple juices full of vitamins and fruit and vegetable salads.
In the blue Wednesday students of the classes: 1 – 3 visited the Water Tower. They had the opportunity to see museum exhibits and to face their fear of heights while admiring the panorama of Bydgoszcz from the viewing terrace. Classes 4 – 6 visited the Pomp Hall requiering information on the functioning of the Bydgoszcz waterworks.
White Thursday started with a karate show performed by students of our school and invited guests. It was spectacular, and the kids wanted to sign up for next year’s classes with Mr. Jarek;) On this day, we also hosted a medical rescue service worker from the Just Save It Foundation, who conducted a first aid demonstration in all classes and talked about the Foundation’s activities. The distinctive complement of the white elements of the costume were wreaths and ties worn by the students, and milk was available to all.
The environmental day was green. The forester came to the school to conduct lectures. Students could watch films about animals living in our forests, learn about their customs and ways of protection, get to know the tools of the forester work, see antlers. As a reward for exceptional activity some of the children received spruce seedlings. After the forester’s visit, each class prepared its ecological tree, which decorated the classroom.
The rivalry between classes for the highest number of points for clothes in a given day colour lasted that whole week. Class 1b won among grades 1-3, and in grades 4-6 the most colourful class each day was class 5b. Congratulations!
